PETRUSHKA is a great ballet — the result of a true collaboration between the composer Stravinsky, the artist Benois, and the choreographer Fokine, all working under the master-mind of Serge Diaghilev. Stravinsky and Benois are credited with the libretto, which is based on traditional puppet plays.
